How to choose a Prometric nursing question bank for SCFHS, DHA or DOH
Choose a Prometric nursing question bank in three steps: confirm which authority you are applying to (SCFHS in Saudi Arabia, DHA in Dubai, DOH in Abu Dhabi, or MOH, QCHP or OMSB elsewhere in the Gulf), try a free sample to see whether the explanations actually teach you something, and only then compare price. Edoxi and eNursing Portal publish free sample questions that are worth a look. Gulf Nurse Compass is the low-cost paid option: 600 questions with every option explained for $4.99 for 90 days, with a free 30-question check first.
Gulf Nurse Compass publishes this guide and is one of the options below. We have not bought every competitor's paid course. Details come from each provider's own page on 27 October 2026.
Official information and study resources are different things
| Resource | What it is | Price / free scope | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Prometric: SCFHS | Exam-service listing for the Saudi nursing practice exam | Check the page for the current fee | Official booking and exam information |
| Prometric: DHA | DHA exam-service page | Official information, not a question bank | Exam route; it also warns about unauthorised claims to official test content |
| Edoxi | Training provider's DHA nurse sample questions | Free sample article; course price is not listed on that page | Nurses also considering a taught course |
| eNursing Portal | Prometric nursing sample questions | Free samples; check its site for full access | A second set of free practice |
| Gulf Nurse Compass | 600-question nursing bank with every option explained | $4.99 / 90 days; free 30-question check | Low-cost, self-paced practice |
Check your route before choosing a bank
Your authority decides eligibility, document verification and how you book. A question bank does none of that. Not every Gulf authority uses Prometric either: at our last check, DOH and OMSB were booking through Pearson VUE. Always confirm on your authority's own page, such as DOH's qualification requirements.
Be wary of anyone selling "actual exam questions" or "recalls". The DHA page on Prometric specifically warns about unauthorised claims to official test content. A legitimate bank sells practice questions written to the published topic areas, not the exam itself.
What to look for in any bank
- Nursing level. Is it written for registered nurses, or a general "healthcare" bank?
- Explanations. After a wrong answer, does it tell you why your choice was wrong, or only which option was right?
- A free sample you can try without paying.
- A clear expiry date and refund policy.
Where Gulf Nurse Compass fits, honestly
Gulf Nurse Compass is a general nursing bank drawn from eight common study areas: fundamentals, medical-surgical, maternity, paediatrics, mental health, pharmacology and dosage calculation, infection control, and ethics and leadership. It is useful for any of the Gulf authorities, but local exam blueprints differ, so it does not replace your authority's own content outline.
What you get: 600 questions written and reviewed with a rationale for every option, illustrated study notes, flashcards from questions you miss, and a mock exam. No ads. Reported errors are corrected within three business days, and Gumroad handles a 7-day refund. Questions reviewed by Jo-Fan Pan, RN, PhD, medical school faculty.
Start with the free 30-question check (no email needed for your report), or get full access for $4.99 / 90 days.
FAQ
Is a "Prometric question bank" an official product?
Not usually. Prometric delivers the exam; commercial banks are independent practice material. For official information, use your authority and Prometric's exam page.
Does one nursing bank cover every Gulf authority equally?
Core nursing topics overlap, but each authority sets its own exam. Check the bank against your authority's current content outline.
What can I try for free?
Gulf Nurse Compass has a free 30-question check. Edoxi and eNursing Portal publish free sample questions.
Can a practice bank guarantee I will pass?
No. A bank helps you practise and find gaps. No provider can promise a result.
